Southern folklore says that if a bride and groom buries a bottle of bourbon at their wedding venue it won’t rain on their wedding day. According to many believers, this must be done exactly one month before the wedding, the bottle must be completely full, and it must be buried upside down in order for it to keep the rain away.

Let’s kick off the weekend with a brand new sneak peek…from Laura and Richard’s wedding last Saturday in Guthrie, Kentucky! They were wed at Guthrie United Methodist Church and enjoyed a super fun reception at The Hayloft Barn at Port Royal in Clarksville. Diana and Matt exchanged vows at Events on 3rd, a historic, multi-level event center located off of Printer’s Alley. They treated their guests to a taste of Nashville with live music during their wedding ceremony and an exuberant reception celebration as they mingled with family and friends. A very special thanks to Dawson Higgs and the staff at Events on 3rd, coordinator Ellen Haber, the folks from Nashville Event Lighting, and photographers of Mark Nagel Portraits for being so great to work with and truly making it a night to remember.
