Tonya and Ori walk hand in hand down a sandy path through the trees on the Riviera Maya, Mexico

Tonya and Ori found us the best way possible: as guests. Tonya watched us film her cousin Tee's wedding in Tulum, and when it was her turn, she and Ori brought us back to Mexico for a weekend at Andaz Mayakoba on the Riviera Maya.

Their one worry was feeling awkward on camera, so we kept things easy and let their personalities lead. The weekend began with a day swimming in the cenotes and a welcome party full of laughter, including a very funny speech from Ori's best man.

The ceremony was beautifully intimate, a Jewish ceremony by the water with Tee standing beside Tonya as her maid of honor. Then the night took off: Tonya's brother lit up cocktail hour with a fire performance, dragon dancers led the couple back in after an outfit change, and the hora lifted them high above a packed dance floor. With room to fly, our drone made the most of the setting from above.
