A historic house, a garden and an open-air pavilion, a few blocks off the square in downtown Franklin. It's an outdoor venue at heart, and the garden does a lot of the work on film. We filmed Andreina and Eric's garden ceremony here, and their hora loca turned the pavilion into a party.

Andreina and Eric were married twice in one day, first at St. Philip and then again in the CJ's garden, with vows, toasts and an hora loca all in Spanish. Caitlin and Gunnar's wedding fell on the 20th anniversary of CJ's ribbon cutting, a full-circle day we covered in both photo and video.

Filming at CJ's Off the Square: what we've learned.

- The main staircase. One of you comes down the stairs while the other waits in the foyer, and the old house frames the whole moment.
- The light
- It changes with the time of year. We've filmed at CJ's in every season, so we'll help you time your ceremony and portraits for the best light on your date.
- The ceremony
- Outdoors in the garden, the heart of CJ's. It's a true outdoor ceremony, so the season and the time of day shape the look of your film.
- The reception
- Under the open-air pavilion. Events wrap by 10 pm, so plan your send-off around it.
- If it rains
- Everything moves under the pavilion. Weather can turn fast in Franklin, and CJ's team makes the switch quickly and calmly. We've filmed here for all 20 years we've been in business, and they handle it beautifully every time.
