Ruskin Cave

Wedding video + photos

A 160-acre property west of Nashville with a centuries-old cave, waterfalls, gardens and a historic 1890s college building. Kara and Jeremy said their vows in front of a cascading waterfall, then moved the party into the cave.

From the wedding we filmed here

Kara and Jeremy said their vows in front of the waterfall, with the cliffs and the sound of the water all around. Cocktail hour brought flash tattoos (they both got inked) and tarot readings, and after sunset the party moved inside the cave itself for a full-on rave.

Filming at Ruskin Cave: what we've learned.

Best first look spot
This property is sprawling, so you have options. Our favorites: in front of the rustic hut on the grounds, or on the double porch of Ruskin College, the restored 1890s schoolhouse.
The light
Your ceremony is outdoors by the water, so the season and time of day shape it. Inside the cave, the look comes from the lighting your team brings in, and we light our footage to match.
The ceremony
By the water: The Waterfall for an intimate wedding, Twin Falls where two waterfalls meet at the altar, or The Garden with its laurel hedges and lit arches.
The reception
Inside the cave itself. After sunset, with the right lighting, it becomes one of the most unforgettable dance floors anywhere.
If it rains
The cave stays dry, and Ruskin College, with its double porch, gives you a covered option. The venue team walks you through their ceremony rain plan when you book.
Drone-friendly?
Yes. From the air, the waterfall, the cliffs and 160 acres of woods show the true scale of the place.
One tip for your timeline
Plan for the drive. Ruskin is a little over an hour from Nashville, so build travel time into your timeline for vendors and guests.
